One problem with the idea of a Rand-Egwene meeting in Chapter 1 beyond timeline issues RandAllThor Send a noteboard - 27/09/2010 10:29:15 PM
Unless they have another confrontation afterward in which Rand knows her anger, Egwene is supposed to have a Seanchan woman in her retinue during their encounter, at least if memory serves. I'm not sure who this woman would be if the meeting took place in Chapter 1, which leads me to think that it won't happen until the end, if it does happen at all in ToM.
