I doubt Harriet would have given Sanderson free reign or even a bit of artistic freedom to deviate from Jordan's outlines and drafts.

I HIGHLY doubt it was Sanderson's plan to have Graendal survive. I would think the Forsaken would be one of the areas that Jordan would not compromise on.
