And most magic systems in quality fantasy novels are unique to some degree. If you can't even think of your own magic system, what business do you have writing about magical things?
However the use of the 4 elements and spirit is quite stereotypical. Element-oriented magic is enormously common.
Hunting men who use magic is different, but hunting a particular type of magic user is also very common.
The Aes Sedai being women is different, but their behavior in their position is not.
There are many original details in RJ's writing. That's what makes him worth reading. But his general themes and plot directions are enormously stereotypical.
From your statements you sound very bored with the series, even more bored than I. So to answer your own question "since you are so very unhappy, I fail to see why you continue to read the books" ?
Maybe like me and others you are both bored AND interested in the series.

If you didn't get Rand's transformation, you're not the intended audience...

Yeah, while you're busy not believing that, you should believe in things like the One Power too.

If Rand was one of the supporting heroes, maybe. But he's the "messiah" character

We haven't had a Rand POV, so I don't think you can say for certain that it's random.
