Winning the Last Battle only to leave the world to the mercy of the Seanchan would be like the United States sacrificing all of their resources to divert an extinction level asteroid impact, only to leave North Korea with free reign to take over the world.

Or something to that effect.

Point is, the Seanchan are actually more revolting than the Shadow in some ways.

Not on an intellectual level, but on an instinctive one, where authoritarian, anti-individualistic cultures are very difficult to identify with.

Or to put it differently, it is less distasteful to face defeat at the hands of non-human alien invaders (Trollocs, in this case) than at the hands of human enemies who follow an opposing ideology from you.

I really hope Aviendha can avert that distasteful future.
