I didn't see Masema going down that way. I think that would have done better in KoD then in the Prologue for TGS. Glad to see a major character get whacked, means we're getting into business, but it did seem a bit out of place.
I assume Masema's various internal ramblings were supposed to indicate that Moridin had been running him, since he told him to kill Aybara. Weird ending, all said, and if Moridin was running him, then there is the whole time lag aspect from him being dead till LoC.

Masema was definitely my least favorite part. I'm glad he's out of the way, but don't see why it was left over from KoD.
I think Tylee was my favorite PoV.
Did the different sections seem short to you? It seems like we had longer PoVs before. They all ended right when I really wanted to know what was going to happen. I sort of liked that in a way, though.
Hard to say, I think my reader had the whole thing as 28 pages, fullscreen if it makes a difference. It did seem a bit rushed but I couldn't say how.
I can only assume that RJ left out Masema's death because he was toying with using him for something else but decided not to, otherwise that scene would have fit in much better in KoD in the same way Galina's capture did. OR maybe he just didn't want to give away the FS influence, and yeah it could have been Demnadred or some other FS, but I don't see that most of them care enough about killing MAt or Perrin to expend MAsema that way. Who knows? I'd bet on it being Moridin though, none of the others seem to fit the bill.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
