- a megalomaniacal oligarchy that's developed fanatical devotion, and believes everyone belongs to them
- the wide (& horrible) use of terangreal to brainwash, hurt, and control for the creation of violent, will-less Power-wielding slaves
- a super-secret police striking fear into everyone
- national self-righteousness, superiority complex, and other stupid customs (no eye contact?)
