It's just that it sounds unlikely that if/when the channeler is revealed, that it will be Norla. We don't know how much stronger Nyn is than Caddy (or do we)? Still, it's pretty clear that Cadsuane gained her special trinkets when she met Norla. It's much more likely, then, that Norla had the trinkets on. Caddy probably got all haughty, then got schooled (figuratively and literally).


Only that Cadsuane is not as strong as Egwene/Elayne, but was the strongest women to enter the Tower in about 1000 years. The trinkets were something Norla gave Cadsuane over time (she had to earn them IIRC) but it seems unlikely that a woman of less than notable strength would have been able to even grab Cadsuane's attention when she was new to the Shawl and still very wrapped up in her own Strength. No real evidence that Norla could have been stronger than Nynaeve, but it would explain why Cadsuane of all AS never more than passingly notices how strong Nynaeve is ... she's pretty much unimpressed.


This we know, because Nynaeve is about 50% stronger than Egwene and about 3 times as strong as Moiraine. Cadsuane falls somewhere between Moiraine and Egwene.

The female strength list could well go something like this.

Moiraine 30
Cadsuane 40
Egwene 50
Nynaeve 75
Alivia 90
Lanfear 100

Obviously, there is some room for error there, but it would not be substantial.

Queue a Darius diatribe regarding Egwene being 80% as strong as Lanfear or some such absurdity (smiley face).


there has not been a single comparative quote between the two in the entire series.
