Rand was basically at Forsaken strength from the moment he first touched Saidin ... by the end of EOTW he could match Aginor who was among the strongest (in raw terms) in the Power. Perhaps it's just another little gift from the Creator

Because this would mean Asmodean was stronger than Aginor, for which there is absolutely no evidence.
at the very least the evidence is that he could even go head to head in a fight with Aginor and not be slapped aside like a bug.
