I think it was interesting that it was yet again explicitly pointed out that the Seanchan despise being Healed by a channeler. In my view this will be the linked to how Alivia will help Rand to "die". I believe that some battle damane know a certain "stasis weave" or "human-Keeping weave" for life-threatening wounds, that basically puts the wounded person in a fixed state, so that the wounds won't get worse till they get medical aid. It might be somewhat similar to the weave Sammael uses to freeze Mili Skane in ACoS or e.g. Elayne's Keeping around the lily Rand gave her in WH. Alivia will use this weave on Rand and so he will appear to be dead to the world. I think that in those serious cases the Seanchan would stomach such a stasis weave/Keeping, even if it touches the body, because such a stasis weave at least wouldn't have a real internal effect on the body like Healing.
Do you have any proof at all for this? Or is it merely a hunch.
I find it extremely unlikely, for the following reasons...
1. The Seanchan don't allow damane to Heal them, and probably don't allow the Power to touch them. A stasis weave would be as unlikely as Healing.
2. A stasis weave is pretty complex, and even if it's easy for someone like Alivia, we've been told a few times that a damane knows a hundred ways to destroy something but almost nothing else. She can't even weave a parasol for rain which implies that damane probably walk in the rain while in battle. A stasis weave is a huge jump.

Theoretically they only get killed off in odd numbered books, right?

That would be a great twist--- Elza could end up saving Rand from his own ability to kill a woman
