Perrin and Mat could have a discussion at Merillor. Mat leaves to join Tuon and enjoys his first taste of married life

It won't be that pleasant a taste for a while :) Tuon is surrounded by assassins and rivals, planning to destroy the WT, and the Shadow is about to strike in the South.

The crop of viewings/dreams concerning Mat we have also promise him fairly unpleasant times... naked, bound and snarling, a bloodknife attacking him...

Rj seems to be setting things up for Egwene to send the proofs to a rival of Fortuona (most likely Lunal Galgan) that sul'dam can all channel and the Crystal Throne is involved in a conspiracy to hide this, in the hope to make the system collapse. Gawyn might even decide to give the bloodknives to people sent to assassinate the Empress.

And all while this unfolds, the Seanchan will have to face the Shadow.

It looks like when Fortuona and Mat come north at last, it will be to escape the final attack of the Shadow that would crush them, and perhaps having just barely escaped a plot by (probably) Galgan to remove Tuon and arrest and execute all the sul'dam.

By the time this happens, Rand's side will probably be in the ropes as well, and only the arrival of the surviving Seanchan who have decided to remain loyal to Fortuona will make a final strike at SG still possible.
