Men in WOT are nowhere near as oppressed as women in the 17th century (aside from a few places), but I am certain if you looked at interpersonal relationships between men and women even 100 years ago you would see an even larger disparity between the sexes than RJ portrays. He certainly fell down portraying "strong" v "bitch", but I don't think most of the women in the series are as bad as men in the real world circa 1800 ... RJ did a fair job of creating a societal norm with women holding a higher position, but not fully enslaving the men.
