I must admit finishing WOT was a major stage in my life, because I'd really grown up with the series, fallen in love with the characters and became immersed in the story.

Finishing it was...emotionally draining. I was sad and happy that it was over. There were big aspects of the books that were disapointing, characters I'd hoped would live, and others that I had hoped would die better deaths. Story lines that were simply unfulfilling (looking at Moiraine's return there), or that were frustratingly repetitive (Perrin chasing slayer for what felt like the hundredth time).

Despite that, I didn't hate it.

Maybe some people are just meant to be in the same story.

Personally, "religion" in WoT makes perfect sense... For the AoL. Not so much the Third Age - 09/03/2017 01:55:29 AM 1519 Views
