A simple survey here. Brandon Sanderson said that of all of the channelers in the world, only 6 people are stronger than Nynaeve. So this simple survey asks one question. Is Nynaeve of "very rare" strength?

That there are six female channelers in the series (i.e. named characters) above Nynaeve on the list. Most likely there are other stronger damane, Ayyad or channelers in the Land of the Madmen, who will never be named.
However, to have a strength like Nynaeve is of course still a rare thing.
