A simple survey here. Brandon Sanderson said that of all of the female channelers in the world, only 6 females are stronger than Nynaeve. So this simple survey asks one question. Is Nynaeve of "very rare" strength?

Edit1: To put this in perspective, there are 400 Shaido Wise Ones who can channel. So among the Aiel, there are approximately 3500-5000 female channelers. I'd guess that in Randland there are an equal number, probably another 4000 (plus or minus) female channelers. And then there are the damane. Who knows how many channelers there are there, but probably thousands. Anyway, there easily appears to be at least 10,000 female channelers just in Randland, the Aiel, and the damane the Seanchan brought with them from Seanchan. Of those 10,000+ female channelers, only 6 are stronger than Nynaeve. Okay, now I've put it in proper perspective.
