Well, we don't know this and no connection between the has really been made. Plus, I like Sidious' idea that due to Aginor's weakened body, it wasn't capable of handling the channeling he's used to and that's a good part of the reason why he died.


I don't know, IMO no matter how you look at it he was basically burned out and died from overuse of the Power. It's similar to what happened to LTT when he created Dragonmount. I also like Sid's explanation of why Aginor couldn't handle the Eye though... makes sense to me.

This is an issue. I think that the weave the Nyn discovered has been improved upon - it's still imperfect, but just a bit better. We just don't know enough about how much of strenth drop is involved.


Well now your theory is getting more complex. On top of Cyndane being healed someone figured out a better way to Heal stilling (woman on woman) than Nynaeve, and she's just a regular AS? I think that's highly unlikely!

I think it's pretty clear that there is a 2/3(ish) drop in power. Siuan and Leane point out that they aren't even 1/2 as strong as before, but are both strong enough to still be AS... and since they were different levels before stilling, but are the same now, it seems like a % drop is more likely than a flat "tax"... if Siuan was a 50 and Leane a 45 before they would be more like a 16 and a 15 now, almost no difference.

Of course she does - she was burned out/severed as she enters finnland and somehow she died there. it's all tied up together.

Anyway, while I don't think your theory is impossible, I also don't know that I would call it the most simple explanation!


That's pure speculation. There is no real evidence in the books that she was stilled/burned out or even killed on the way through the doorway.

My theory is that the DO transmigrated her and at that time weakened her. Simple, easy, done. Of course you could be 100% accurate, but I don't think your theory is more likely due to being simple! I think your theory has a lot of "IF this happened AND that happened then MAYBE the answer is..."

Well, it's simpler than any other explanation I've seen.


I think it's much simpler that Lanfear died, was transmigrated by the DO and had her ability reduced at that time as a form of punishment along with the Mind Trap. The meaning of her name implies as much too "Last Chance" is pretty ominous.
