As far as I know his only mannerism is to call the Aes Sedai - 'so called'. It's a pointer to a Forsaken, but not always.


IIRC, he was referring to the Aiel, and there were counter-Taimandred theories that he was just being sceptical because the rumours about Aiel at the time were that they were huge, firebreathing bloodthirsty giants. He could also simply understand the Old Tongue (we see a number of people who do, eg Thom).
