It's possible that Taim has an AOL channeler's voice in his head (like LTT with Rand), who passes on both channeling knowledge and attitudes.
Semirhage seemed to imply that hearing voices is a common symptom of the taint taking hold on a male channeler. She could be lying, of course, and one wonders when and how she would have became an expert on the taint's effects anyway. She must have known that Rand was hearing voices though, since she mentioned it simply to spook either him or his followers.
