Valid as it may be, does an answer like that not point to deficiencies on the side of the author?

It's like saying: 'This part of my plot doesn't make sense but just ignore logic, please, because I couldn't think of another way to make things go the way I want.'


Is Be'al apparently not once bothering to comp through the *angreal stash in the Stone of Tear to possibly find an interesting object of the OP (e.g. the quite strong male angreal, which was actually there..), when he was the foremost High Lord in Tear for several months.

However, I think you will find such plot conveniences in many/most fantasy books or movies.
