It's a shame that we spent 4-5 books mired in stasis to get across the idea of time passing slowly for some characters while a lot happens for others.

Just think: He could have had an entire book with a character hunting down Graendal in Shara, one trying to do something about the Seanchan on the mainland and etc.

Instead we get: "Elayne doesn't like being pregnant. She blaims Rand. 50X. Done!"
