But most likely not when she was involved with Rand. She may have reported on her escapades with Rand in TGH to her superiors, but I don't think she ever sabotaged Rand. I don't doubt that she sowed discord among his 'followers' who were scheming like crazy behind his back, but her plan was to help the Dragon Reborn, and at that point she'd decided that Cadsuane could be trusted. (I can't quite remember, but IIRC the scene mentioned in the original post is after Verin decides not to poison her isn't it?)

And in the years leading up to Rand's birth and Moiraine's discovery of him, Verin probably killed, tortured, kidnapped and jaywalked with the best of them. But then she was there to help Rand.


But she certainly implies that she had to juggle the BA leadership's orders where she could... like giving Egwene notes on the 13 that left and the items they took. She slipped in what extra information she could without betraying her oaths, and gave the the Stone Ring ter'angreal without their knowing etc... but that's just typical AS slipperiness.

But it's also clear that she believes that she had done many things that she could not be forgiven for ... I wonder if we'll learn more about her actions...
