I think the "master plan" is to make Rand himself destabilize the Pattern, making it easier for the Forsaken to accomplish their goals.

Hard for the Forsaken to accomplish their goals if they are dead by BF, though.

As I said to Etzel, could the DO/Moridin really view the BFing of any Chosen as a net gain? That is, the resulting BF affect on the Pattern is greater than the chaos each of the Chosen causes with his/her various schemes?

That seems unlikely, to me. Except, perhaps, when Rand wiped out Graendal's entire mansion full of people. Perhaps that was a net gain for the Shadow, in terms of all the Pattern chaos it caused. But it seems unlikely that they would think/predict that Rand/LTT would ever use BF so massively.

Moridin probably just wanted the access key to prevent the Cleansing - 02/02/2010 10:26:11 AM 7199 Views

We don't even know if SH knew about the access key in the box - 02/02/2010 02:09:32 PM 707 Views
So the DO's Hand doesn't know about the AK? And we have a quote with Elza's orders where? - 02/02/2010 02:14:58 PM 719 Views
If Elza had the order to take the access key, she would have taken it - 02/02/2010 02:29:08 PM 735 Views
