I'm not sure if that means it is gone for good (that kinda raises the problem of a finite quantity of souls with continuous losses over an infinite amount of time) but I can certainly see how it would indicate it.
If you notice in the old thread I asked that same thing. Perhaps there is an infinite number of souls in the soul pool or maybe the Creator spends his time making new ones.
