There are a couple of things that make me wonder how they will fit in later (once we know more of how her magic works). I'll have to grab my book when I get home.

Part of what is fun about these earlier books is that we get just as much of a new look at magic as the kids do, so it's fun and surprising while still being comfortable with preconceived notions and all. As lame as this might be, the first visit to Diagon Alley is one of my favorite parts of any book (just like the Hogsmead scenes). There is so much to wonder about and it's only our imaginations that limit it, I think.
