The whole organization of the magic world, as being within Britain but almost entirely separate from Muggle Britain except in a few regards like these warnings, is rather unrealistic (obviously). Fred and George have learned Muggle lockpicking techniques at one point, but their father, supposedly a specialist on Muggles, doesn't know the most basic things.

It's not quite as bad as the foreign countries thing, but let's not get started on that.
