But I wonder if Dumbledore knows of a way to deal with dementors without a wand. In OotP when Fudge tries to arrest him Dumbledore says he has no intention of going to Azkaban and that he could break out so it would just be a waste of his time. The way he said it made it sound like he thought it was easy. Hmmm...


Huh, I'd forgotten that. Perhaps he would get the phoenix to get him.
