But I don't rate him. I read the Di Vinci Code because I was told it was great and I found it very poor. I would have given up on it except that I was told to keep reading. I should have given up.

Nowadays I just ignore him and his work.

I guess some people are just annoyed about the amount of hype and coverage he gets compared to other better authors and this leads them to overreact.
