You know, I was thinking about e-readers and all the extra features that everyone loves... Avendesora Send a noteboard - 03/02/2011 08:22:06 PM
I'm shopping for an e-reader for my upcoming birthday, but I just can't make up my mind.

Happy Birthday!

I am older. I would actually prefer something that most people don't want in an ereader. I would rather have NO WIRELESS. I have an iphone and a laptop. The only time I read is when I'm at home or when traveling.

For me as a parent this is what I need to know:

Do they make a color e-reader (I'm thinking of illustrations in children's books) that also plays DVD's and has video games? If so, that would making packing the car for a road trip a hell of a lot easier. :P

I actually love my bookcase for cherished books, and I don't cherish everything I read. For me, books are like movies. I only own the ones I REALLY REALLY like.

edit: When the product is being used as a portable DVD player, it needs to have one of those little straps that lets you hook it around a head rest. That should be included. ;)

I believe all news and research that supports my opinion, and dismiss the rest as conspiracy and lies.

If you won't strip DRM, for whatever odd reason, get a Nook. - 31/01/2011 08:35:26 PM 733 Views

And you don't need bookshelves with ereaders. - 01/02/2011 11:06:39 PM 735 Views
Which is more irritating, bookshelves taking up space or running out of batteries while reading? - 02/02/2011 10:57:50 PM 812 Views
