I certainly did. Though as it turns out I had not read their other articles... Legolas Send a noteboard - 21/03/2012 10:59:51 PM
some of which are more clearly anti-Christian or at least anti-Catholic, and show more of their exaggerated attempts to be PC. So okay, maybe they're not people I really want to associate with, but I'll still explain why I read that paragraph quite differently than you did.
Their fundamental position is that CHRISTIANITY AND CHRISTIAN CIVILIZATION ARE BY NATURE ANTI-SEMITIC, and that THE DIVINE COMEDY INSPIRED THE HOLOCAUST.

I don't know what the fuck you need to be smoking to feel a need to defend that or make apologetic remarks in defense of this NGO, or why you think calling them anti-Christian hate-mongers is an exaggeration.

A lot depends on how you interpret the first sentence, I read it with the "di cui" referring back to "nostro paese". Rereading it now, I suppose it makes more sense to read "di cui" as referring back to "la natura razzista e antisemita del nostro paese", as you evidently did.

The rest of the paragraph has several points where you can either give them the benefit of the doubt (i.e. assume that they merely mean Christianity was one factor among several, the biggest one at first but not so much later on and certainly not in the Shoah), or you can refuse to.
