This list isn't my entire reading plan for the year. It's the things I've been meaning to read for ages but haven't got round to, and which I've realised I'll probably never get round to if I don't put them on a list like this one. In between, I'll be reading easier stuff with which I don't have that problem.

P.S. These two are pretty non-literary:

Raw Spirit – Iain Banks
A Short History of Nearly Everything – Bill Bryson


The first is a book about whisky, and the second... well, it's Bill Bryson.
