I'm meaning to (buy and) read their history of the US.

Njál's Saga – Anon. (one of the Íslendingasögur or Sagas of Icelanders)

King Harald's Saga – Snorri Sturluson


Seen both of these in a book shop and they sounded good but I was already buying several books so I didn't get them.

Raw Spirit – Iain Banks


I really liked this - doubles as a travel guide of sorts to Scotland

The Master and Margarita – Mikhail Bulgakov


Very good book.

Things Fall Apart – Chinua Achebe


I really liked this book, it is excellent but sad (though it shouldn't be sad... which shows how well written it is - the author creates sympathy where it shouldn't exist)

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell* – Susanna Clarke


Jolly good book.

Catch-22 – Joseph Heller


I love this book. The follow up was dreadful though.

Dune – Frank Herbert


Excellent book.

On the Road – Jack Kerouac


Sat patiently waiting for me to read it.

One Hundred Years of Solitude – Gabriel García Márquez

Atonement – Ian McEwan


I prefer very good book. I love McEwan.

I'm a big fan of Pamuk as well, I really, really liked this book.
