the rule they taught us was to ask, which pronoun would you use if the sentence was singular? While there are probably exceptions, in general it worked fairly well.


I have come to find, that my education was a lot better than other parts of the country, now that I have moved around a bit... Not that I am always perfect in my grammar, but, just in discussions with friends about high school and middle school, and what we were taught.
