I'm not sure if it would ever be justified to take over a country under any circumstances. However, I subscribe to the philosophy of R2P and accept it's standard of intervention, namely, that military intervention is ONLY justified as THE LAST RESORT in a situation in which a sovereign state is complicit with or participating in, unwilling or unable to stop the four mass atrocities, genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and ethnic cleansing. Only then does a nation lose sovereignty as responsibility, under all other situations it is a sovereign nation whose rights are equal to all others and cannot be infringed upon.
