All the time, we (as Americans) go out of our way to bend over backwards so as to not offend someone. Yet when we ask for the same consideration, our hurt feelings are completely disregarded and people freak out that we are upset.

Instead of attempting to achieve understanding or dialogue, we get a bunch of non-Americans who get all pissy and start preaching about our own rule of law and Constitution (as if it matters to you at all). Let us not forget...never once have Americans ever considered banning religious symbols from public forums (hello France). America doesn't have a law where you cannot speak something because it is considered illegal at face value (Germany).

So check your own fed-up ness at the door, Camilla. If anyone should be fed up, it should be us. Because ultimately, we were slapped in the face...you cannot expect us to not react when someone raises a hand.
