We are harped on this ALL THE TIME at veterinary school. No matter HOW MUCH we want to, are right, or think it would help the animal, being rude to the client is NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVAR the right thing.

Now, the practicality, is sometimes that's not true and with the right client, crossing the line drives a point home. But, these days, that's a very rare client.
