a lot of families create a lot of inner suffering

As I said, I have been very lucky for the most part...but I have still had a grandparent say she cares more for hound dog shit than me (and later claim she never said any such thing, of course)
I'm glad your experiences have been positive. But there are a lot of people out there who don't want their families around for good reasons. Even if your family is not abusive and your relations are just dramatic, that's TIRING. I LOVE my family, but most of the time I am THRILLED they are so far away. It keeps relationships positive and prevents bad blood from growing.

If you don't want drama, don't invite family. Seriously, listen to the voice of experience here.

How can you *not* invite family? Family is all that matters. *NM*

That entirely depends on how you define family.

In your opinion. For me, as an example, it is the people I care for and respect that matter.
