Not that I really endorse that in general, but it would be more respectable, or at least less unrespectable, if those who hate him solely for that reason could just admit it. It's not like willfully ignorant and disingenuous bigotry exactly legitimize their attitude. Understand, I'm not criticizing those who dislike and disagree with him over politics; that's entirely legitimate (though outright hatred is still not really right). And no, I'm not saying that just because it's Obama; it's no secret I despise Palin, but that doesn't mean I approve of things like Newsweeks "hard news" story on her VP candidacy featuring a cover shot of her in running shorts. Yes, she's a woman and a fairly good looking one for her age, but a serious news journal shouldn't present a serious VP candidate as a pinup girl; it's demeaning and unprofessional (on several levels since they lifted the shot from a fitness magazine).
