I didn't immediately associate my dream with the event, that's all. I was very cognizant that I had had the dream, and that I had told my friends about it and said it was one of those dreams that had the particular feel that it would come true.
I was just on the verge of conceding that I had been wrong, that the entire means by which I assessed if a dream had elements of prediction in it was wrong, and that the previous seven or eight such dreams were just a long line of coincidences.

Despite believing that your dreams have some sort of supernatural predictive value, you didn't associate a dream (that you were expecting to be predictive) about a plane floating down the river with an actual plane in that actual river a few months later?
And frankly, you're changing your story. You said, "When the "Miracle on the Hudson" happened, I had forgotten about the dream but my friends quickly reminded me" (emphasis mine). That's a pretty clear statement that contradicts what what you're claiming to have meant now. But I'm not going to argue the point with you. Neither version really makes a lot of sense, and I don't expect you to accept the version that allows for the possibility of confirmation bias.
If you are from Betelgeuse, please have one of your Earth friends read what I've written before you respond. Or try concentrating harder.

Kim Jong-il is dead. Would you become a fervent believer?
