The MO GOP voters who nominated him for being "most conservative" think it is.
Joel Send a noteboard - 25/08/2012 10:52:02 PM
If she had run ads talking about his extreme views of abortion and loopy ideas about biology and he was nominated then it might be true but what she did was run ads calling him a conservative but conservatives across the board are rejecting him so the argument that he represents conservatives is true only in the minds of the far left and their simple minded strawman ideal of conservatives.
It is true that the media was reporting that she was spending money to get him elected up until the point the point he became toxic and then they started linking him to Ryan and down played th part about how he was nominated and who helped him get there.

The national GOP sharing Akins' views yet condemning admission of them, due to popular disgust, proves naught but their hypocrisy. The GOP platform, as many before it, demands a constitutional abortion ban without exceptions, as Akin desires. Both their presidential and vice presidential nominees met with the same Dr. Willkes whose claim womens bodies "shut down" rape-pregnancy Akins cited, and both stated they agree with him, despite their condemnation now. The only difference between them and Akins is that he is honest enough to admit his policy views to voters during rather than after the election. Truth is no straw man.
As to reporting on the ads, a slew of writers calling McCaskill "savvy" and similar things demonstrates how much they have been covered.

That is second on my list of things I remember about him, probably down to third now.

That is a dangerous line of logic.

Sure it was, but we can do it your way.

I was trying to cut to the chase; like I say, I followed your logic: I just disliked where it led.

Disliking the conclusion doesn't invalidate the logic, and stop veering out of the debate boundary

No, the logics invalidity does that, though you do not seem to like its conclusion either.

I'm not even sure what that means

The logic is invalid because invalid, however either of us feels about where it leads.
