It really does come down to that, you're under a microscope as a public figure and every mistake will be announced with a megaphone as proof of your apparent primary flaw while in her case she could probably discuss rocket science at a doctoral level and it would be ignored. I don't mind jokes but the 'GOP as stupid' moniker is just getting ridiculous and petty. The running teleprompter bit on Obama is a joke, though hardly a 'all in good fun' one, Bush's tendency to invent words was the same. Calling him or Palin retards constantly slides outside of that. I sincerely doubt there are more than a small handful of politicians holding major office who have a below average IQ since they almost all have college degrees and even in these degenerate times it still takes a fair amount of brain power to get a degree, even if daddy is a Big Man. There's only so much fiddling a school will do on someone's behalf, I mean at Harvard it's not like 'my dad's a senator' is gonna get you too far, 'Oh really? Cause except for the scholarship lads, just about everyone's dad here is a senator, governor, CEO, and so on, and by the way, I have tenure, so screw off, you're still getting a D' and somehow I doubt Palin had anything like that benefitting her in college. So it really just comes off as petty nitpicking when people slam her as stupid like this. I hardly consider her a brainiac but she hardly the drooling moron people keep trying to make her out to be and it seems like people just jump on ship with it to be part of the cool crowd or something. 'Look at me! I'm smart and intellectual because I can call her an idiot too!'
