and because it's stuff like that that makes foreigners think we're idiots (legitimately or not). I would have posted it if it was most politicians. It's unprofessional and NO politicians should be doing it. It just happened to be that the media focuses on Palin and she was caught.

And yes, I also think she is an idiot and I disagree with her ideas and it amuses me to laugh at her do something stupid like stare at her hand to remember to stay on task.

EDIT: as an additional thought, I would not say she's particularly in touch with the American People. A great many people disagree with her and think she's far too conservative and would be a detriment to our government. Are these people suddenly no longer considered part of America? Just because she's more in touch with you and yours, doesn't mean she suddenly is more in touch with everyone.
