it was always joked about with bush sr (bush 41 if you prefer) that he couldn't say hello without having notecards to tell him what to say. in just about every public speech you see him with a small stack of index cards, and it was definitely more obvious than palin writing something on her hand like the video above.




the big reason for this is that she proved herself time and again that she was "not ready for prime time" and has no business discussing national policy until she can prove she has a handle on things. but her style of politics is style over substance, so she's managed to eke out a place for herself on the national stage ever since she was brought onto said stage in the last election. she's her own worst enemy when it comes to how people perceive her intelligence (or lack thereof).
