Even were that true (which I dispute) my statement stands.

They really don't even go to much effort to hide it. Sorry that is a simple fact. You always refute my statement with some actual fact but until then you really are simply in denial. Their anchors are liberal and their reporting is liberal. Your claim that it would be against their best interest would hold some merit if not for the fact that republicans have repeatedly attempted to cut their funding and failed.
Oh, have they now? When's the last time you saw Bill Moyers on TV? Have you heard that the News Hour will soon be "the News Half Hour"? Hell, Bush had a member of the FCC resign in protest because of what the guy appointed to run it was pulling. I've very seldom heard any editorializing on the News Hour or Washington Week; the former confines its reporters almost exclusively to facts and when they have a panel discussion they take pains to ensure all sides of an issue are represented (I tend to not like panel discussions though because representing all biased perspectives doesn't equal an objective one. ) The latter tends to delve into partisan views because it's JUST politics, but it's usually in the form of "this is what the Democrats say they're trying and expect and this is what the Republicans say they're trying to do and expect. "
