Sometimes the truth hurts, though it doesn't hurt PBS. Joel Send a noteboard - 10/02/2010 10:15:13 AM
Until the White House wants to decide how and what they report anyway.
I am familar with the format of the show and sorry but you can be biased giving straight news by what you select to report and the general attitude of the person reporting it. That isn't a matter of opinion that is simple logic.

Are you upset they overlooked something? Something you saw on Fox, maybe? ;) I've noticed them reporting a lot of things I don't see elsewhere, but I've never known them to omit anything. I certainly don't believe Bush had his FCC going after them because of what they WEREN'T reporting.
As for panels have you noticed the make up those panels they tend from the far left to one very moderate republican like say Brooks who supports Obama.

I wasn't aware Bush supports Obama, but I don't follow him very closely. Really, the only reason he's on there is because Paul Gigot moved on to bigger things, and Gigot was much more equal to debating Mark Shields. But that wasn't the kind of panels I meant, I was thinking more along the lines of "for more on this issue we turn to [usually at least three people including one from the right, one from the left and often a consumer and/or taxpayer advocacy group. ] " Those tend to be relatively balanced, though depending on the issue in question they may lean one way or the other depending on whether we're talking corporate responsibility (where consumer advocates tend to lean left, though regulatory issues can and do easily go the other way) or social programs (where taxpayer advocates tend to lean right. ) Government accountability issues seem to be the most even, in my experience, because all but the most incestuous Washington insiders agree we need more transparency and less corruption and waste.
