After all, why would they move to France, except to be French? Because homogenizing societies is what the 21st century is all about!!


These societies were already fairly homogenized (obviously there is regional variation) and full of rich native culture. Obviously, flooding them with an entirely alien culture whose members will not assimilate and guilt-tripping the natives who object to such things seems to be what the 21st century is really about.

And yes, if you want to move to France, you should commit to becoming French. If you want to move to any nation you should do your best to become a member. Otherwise, why are you moving there?
