When you go to a restaurant, do typically tip?

I have worked in the service industry. Waiting on people is extremely difficult because for every nice person you seem to get two who totally suck. It's probably not really that ratio but certainly seems like it. I was held up at gunpoint by three crackheads with a sawed-off shotgun while delivering pizzas. I also delivered pizzas to a millionaire baseball player who gave me 30 bucks for a bill of a little over 29 and said, keep the change. But one of his team mates tipped me 10 bucks for a similar delivery. So I will always remember the latter as a nice guy and the former as a prick.
