We had something similar last year. I just forced myself to approach the situation with love and understanding, anything else would have just pushed him further away. I asked him to get personal counseling to figure out why he felt the way he did. It changed his whole attitude toward it, and us, and everything. We have done counseling together and work very hard everyday to communicate without blaming and to not let the warning signs go unnoticed. We have both grow so much. Even if, in the future, we decided we needed to part. I feel at least now we would come to that decision together. It isn't fair to make that decision unilaterally.
