You may be right about reform having to start now, too. I'm rather torn on the issue, myself - the bill as passed is not that bad in itself, but it *is* bad, even disastrous, if it's the only bill that's going to be passed for the next five or ten years. So if the polarization and ugliness that this bill has sown is such that Congress waits years before trying to pass additional reforms, I'm afraid it wasn't worth that. As such, I still think a more bipartisan bill should've been possible.
