In Hyperion one of the main characters is Muslim, but I recall a brief discussion in Ilium or Olympos about how the global caliphate or what have you was responsible for destroying pretty much everything.

It wasn't even particularly interesting Islamophobia.

It was jarring how it just came out of nowhere in that book. But then again, after Endymion, I perhaps should have expected it in the sense that religious structures seem to be something he distrusts and almost despises.

The first book is on you but if you read the other 7 that is on you. - 22/05/2017 05:43:52 PM 767 Views
Keep it that way. The Endymion books nearly ruined the entire series for me. Terrible. *NM* - 23/05/2017 03:46:14 AM 413 Views

Was it ILIUM or OLYMPOS where the absurd Islamophobia really got into full swing? - 25/05/2017 06:49:17 AM 791 Views
