I believe there is a big difference between a trans individual who is already where he or she wants to be, physically, emotionally, and mentally, and someone who is just starting the journey. The former should be able to serve, if they so desire. But I can see the arguments against the latter.

I see where you're coming from. I can also see where Trump, as Commander & Chief, is coming from. One of the lessons I've learned in my career is that I don't have to justify every decision I make to everyone who asks. Sometimes I can just say "This is the way its going to be." But as I said before, there are a whole host of people who cannot serve, regardless of their desire to. This is another addition to the list.
