It just hasn't happened yet. You're also delusional if you think that the second amendment will still exist in it's current form in 100 years time. It's a backward, ineffective and cancerous piece of legislation that has been constricted and reduced in scope from virtually day 1. It will be eroded, undermined and eventually strangled to death and society will be all the better for it.

It's frustrating that it's happening so slowly, but the tide has been coming in for a century.
